I have no problem with people making money, regardless of party affiliation.
I simply think it is funny that the same people who hate our capitalistic society, love Al Gore…. and he is right in the mix with making money. For himself…. not for the enviroment.

Most Democrats are happy living in a capitalist/merit system.
However, many Democrats believe that people who benefit from the system, should give a little back to the system, to assist those less fortunate.
I do not believe Gore is any more of a hypocrite than most politicians, despite his wealth; however, it did look bad that he did not have solar panelling or wind vans generating electicity for his mansion while advocating alternative energy sources.
He wrote a book and then did a movie about an alleged problem. And low and behold he also owns the solition? Wow, talk about pulling wool over the lefty’s eyes! They fell for this hook, line and sinker! Carbon credits, what a scam!

So he’s made some money, so have a lot of people. How much has the Bush family made in the last seven years? I’ll bet it’s a lot more than 100 million. Hell, Neil stole more than that from Silverado, and I’m sure Halliburton has made way, way more than that in the last seven years.

It is too funny how some people on Y/A think that you are upset that he is making money. I completely understand your point. It is not that he is making money – it is that he is a hypocrite. He whines about other people doing the same thing he is (making money that is). He is a savvy business man, I will give him that much credit, but he is just like any other liberal – with the "do as a say, not as I do mentality"!!!
